Photographer Norman Wong worked with the team at Neighbourhood Studios in Toronto to create a capture system capable of producing a fully-realized studio shoot without any in-person interaction. Using a multi-camera rig as well as a perimeter of additional cameras feeding footage to a shared video call, both photographer and creative team were able to observe and direct from afar. &nbsp; In celebration of Nike Air Max Day 2018, Notre teamed up with the world-renowned Alinea Group to push the boundaries of traditional retail buildouts. Expressing the footwear series’ past, present, and future, the notion of “Air” was incorporated into every dish in a quest to juxtapose the seemingly opposing worlds of food and footwear. Guests traversed through seven rooms, with varied experiences meant to engage every sense. Beyond interactive activities and unique cocktails, dishes included Chef Mike Bagale’s floating “Balloon” dish and Chef Grant Achatz’s famous “Chocolate Mat” presented in the Sean Wotherspoon colorway in a room filled with chocolate-scented smoke. Experts — architects Norman Kelley and designer Nicole McLaughlin — led participants through zero-waste creation exercises where they were tasked with upcycling materials typically considered disposable into objects that could be used indefinitely.
